“The Linekin Loft” is a unique room comprised of two levels.  The first level is a romantic bedroom with soft lace curtains and seascape paintings by Maine artists.  This room derives its name from the second level inviting loft room, which affords guests a dramatic view of Linekin Bay with its sparkling water, islands and lobster boats.

The room has a king size bed with white iron headboard and a hypoallergenic feather mattress covering.

A gorgeous Bates of Maine bedspread and custom-made pillows grace the bed. Custom-made lamp shades match the pillows on the bed.

Located on the west side of the house, this room is first to catch the sunrise through the branches and leaves of the 100 year old horse chestnut tree that shades the entire front of the Bed & Breakfast.

An armoire provides ample space for storage of clothing, a trunk  functions as a luggage rack, and a custom built bureau contains the sink/vanity for the room.

The private bath in The Linekin Loft has a shower.

Mary Sue Weeks of Decorative Illusions has enhanced the decor by using creative stencil artistry and a unique and rich-looking faux finish on the walls of the bath. A hand hooked rag rug adds a splash of color on the tile floor.

A beautiful oak staircase takes you from the first level of this room to its secluded loft, where cool breezes and panoramic views await you.

The loft room is a superb place for one person to curl up and read in front of the fireplace, while their partner catches an afternoon nap in the room below.

The loft on the second level of this room has a floor to ceiling window, which opens wide to let in the gentle sea breeze.

Branches, flowers and leaves hand painted by Maureen Magee and Valerie Betts of Sow’s Ear Studio provide a lovely framework for the view of the sparkling waters of Linekin Bay.  Converse, read, or watch TV as you relax in the inviting, overstuffed easy chairs in front of the Vermont style fireplace.

On the opposite side of the loft there is a love seat that easily unfolds into a twin bed. This allows The Linekin Loft to easily  accommodate up to three people,  while at the same time affording a certain level of privacy for all.
