Our "Rhapsody in
Blue" room derives its name not only from the
exquisite water views of Linekin Bay, but also from the changing colors within the room.
The room literally changes colors as the sunlight enters. In the morning
the walls are white with the angles of the eaves Wickham gray, but as the
afternoon sun arrives, you will notice different colors. |

The Waverly bedding and valances add to the decor, which works in harmony to say, "Sit, relax and enjoy the ambience." Decorative stenciling on the walls by artist Hillary Bartlett of West Harbor Studio reflect the flowers and colors of the bedspread and add charm and warmth to the room. |
| The Rhapsody in Blue room is filled with elegant antique oak and ash furniture. The furnishings include a queen-size antique oak bed with a beautiful headboard, antique oak bureau and mirror, wardrobe, ash tables, rocking chair and an upholstered chaise lounge. | ![]() |

On cooler summer
evenings or during the autumn and winter, simply flick the switch on the
Vermont style fireplace and savor a crackling fire as you curl up and enjoy
the warm, restful atmosphere.
|
| This
room was actually two separate rooms at one time, and has been opened up to
make one spacious room. Part of this room leads us to believe that at one
time it was set up for the house servants to use. When the house was built in 1878 a staircase from the kitchen lead into this room. The servants could begin preparing the morning meal without disturbing the occupants of the master bedroom. The staircase is now used solely as a fire exit and leads into the dining room. The hallway pictured to the right leads to a wardrobe and just to the right lies the private, full bathroom. |

| Thanks for the
special treatment while staying at the beautiful Linekin Bay B&B. We have never felt
so comfortable and so "at home" while on the road. Our trip to Maine would have
been close to a washout had you not provided us with such a pleasant experience. (If
wed had my truck, Shirley would have stolen that bed.) Thanks, Lance Hunt. |
