Gardens
Lovely perennial gardens provide color and fragrance on the beautifully landscaped grounds. A magnificent 100 year old horse chestnut tree shades the entire front of the inn and is one of the few remaining on the Boothbay peninsula. Many varieties of native flowers are planted in the patio garden, the shore garden, the cart garden, the front garden and the gardens by the parking lot. The porches of this traditional white clapboard inn have window boxes overflowing with flowers and beautiful hanging baskets. Discover the picturesque village of East Boothbay and experience the serene beauty of Linekin Bay Bed & Breakfast.
Grounds
Marti and Larry love the outdoors and after completing the renovation of the inn they tackled the grounds. Working with a landscape designer they helped plant six perennial gardens with places for guests to sit outside. Enjoying nature, the views of Linekin Bay, the refreshing Maine air, the towering pine trees, and the passing lobsterboats and sail boats is all part of the B&B experience at Linekin Bay Bed & Breakfast. The scene invites you to step outdoors to relax and read a favorite book or nap in the sunshine.
Comfortable wicker chairs sit on the bluestone patio and a pergola provides shade. Flowers surround the patio. From the patio follow a curving path of bluestone to Adirondack chairs nestled in front of the roses. Since these beautifully landscaped grounds face west, guests enjoy amazing sunsets over the bay.
A lovely porch with rocking chairs and wicker furniture graces the entire front of the inn.
From the porch guests enjoy views of flower boxes, gardens, and an old-fashioned cart filled with flowers. Even the neighbor’s house across the street has beautiful gardens!
Marti enjoys maintaining the gardens and spends many hours each week among the flowers making sure that they flourish.
