Living Room
Elegance lives in the details of a home. The common room’s high ceilings, wide base board, chair rail and high quality Victorian shaped molding reflect the charm of the past. The common room has the original wooden picture rail for hanging pictures, which was included in many of the homes from the Victorian era.
The common room has warm colors and rich fabrics. The Toile loveseats and wing back chairs are perfect places to sit and converse with fellow guests or relax with a book. A computer is available for guests to check or send an email.
Brochures of area attractions, menus for restaurants, guide books for the Boothbay Harbor region and mid coast Maine, books about Maine, board and card games, and music CDs are readily available for guests. Visit our DVD library to borrow a title to watch in your room. Marti and Larry have been innkeepers since 1998 and will gladly help you plan your day or choose a restaurant and make reservations for you.
sunroom
The sunroom is a spacious room with breakfast and sitting areas. This room has five large windows that overlook flower gardens and Linekin Bay. These windows and several skylights flood the room with sunlight. Start the day by relaxing in one of the overstuffed chairs with your morning coffee and newspaper. Breakfast is served between eight and nine in the morning and coffee and tea are available at six o’clock. Savor a hearty breakfast prepared by Larry at the breakfast table as you enjoy conversation with fellow guests. You may see a lobster boat in the bay as you anticipate a great day ahead on the Maine coast.
In the afternoon the sunroom is a great place to sit in the comfy chairs, appreciate the wonderful view, and enjoy a homemade Linekin Bay dessert. In the evening it is a great place to sit in front of the Vermont style stove and witness a colorful sunset. All day the hand painted delicate flowers spilling across the room invite the outside in and whisper to you, “Relax, you’re in Maine.”
