Marti Booth and Larry Brown are the owners and innkeepers of Linekin Bay Bed & Breakfast. After staying at many bed & breakfast inns and enjoying the experience very much, Larry decided that he would like to become an innkeeper after his retirement in 1996 as a police officer in Maine.
They enjoyed the beauty of coastal Maine and began the search for an inn in the Boothbay Harbor region. Marti saw a Victorian era farmhouse and fell in love with the character of the house and the lovely views of Linekin Bay. They purchased the house, originally known as the Holbrook House and Store, in 1997. Larry undertook a massive renovation to transform the home into Linekin Bay Bed & Breakfast and opened the inn on Labor Day weekend 1998.
Marti was a special education teacher for twenty-seven years and retired in 2002. She has decorated the inn in an elegant, yet comfortable style and worked with a landscape designer to create beautiful perennial gardens on the grounds. Larry loves to cook and prepares and serves a bountiful breakfast to guests each morning. They are the innkeepers and you are ensured of a gracious welcome and thoroughly enjoyable stay. See why guests return year after year and say that entering Linekin Bay Bed & Breakfast feels like coming home.
